PS retention profiles for the gravel packed columns operated with comparable flow rates of about 10 ml min−1 (a & b) and 13 ml min−1 (c), but with different duration of infiltration that is pore volumes (PV) passed through. Applied flow volumes were about 2 PV (a, Q10_mGr_2PV), 4 PV (b, Q10_mGr_4PV) and 8 PV (c, Q13_mGr)
